Girl Friday

Girl Friday revolves around the story of a man’s sins, which lead to serious consequences despite the sacrifice of a woman. It is a film by Joel Lamangan, premiering on Vivamax on September 30, 2022. Angeli Khang plays Amor, who is married to a crooked politician twice her age. She tolerates her husband’s infidelity so that she can maintain her position. Jay Manalo is Fredie Ibasco, her husband and ranch owner. When his trusted employee is caught stealing cattle, Ibasco promptly throws him in jail.

Girl Friday has several other notable characters who also play important roles. Massimo Scofield plays Jojo, is a wife-beater, but ironically, he will need his wife to get him out of his mess. Jela Cuenca plays Carmela, Jojo’s battered wife. Despite this, she still begs Amor for Jojo’s freedom. In exchange for this, she gives in to Amor’s condition: sleeping with Congressman Ibasco.
